Fox Brothers is officially credited as the original creator of flannel. The range has developed over the last two and a half centuries and is produced from the finest ingredients, woven in rich melange shades taken from the 1773 Fox archive book and milled into cloth with a fabulous fluid hand-feel.

Fox Brothers & Co Ltd is a prestigious clothmaker which specialises in manufacturing handmade woollen and worsted fabrics, featuring an extensive archive of cloth patterns which dates back to the late 18th century. Originally branded Fox Brothers', after Thomas Fox in 1772, the Fox name has since gone on to become a highly reputable manufacturer within the textile community, proudly supplying our collection of exquisitely made cloths to luxury fashion houses, renowned tailors, film studios, and well-known public figures.
