Red Deer moves through Gorse Gold, Peat Brown and Burnt Bracken against Dry Stone, a richly autumnal check with the colours of open moor and woodland edge. Gold, russet and earthen brown give the cloth the warmth of late-season ground, softened by the pale mineral note of stone.
